I love the turbine cars. So many great little details.

It was definitely a pleasant surprise given that it was unexpected at what’s mainly a railroad museum.

STL MOT is great. Lots of great trains, and a nice display of automobiles. I live about 200 miles away, but try to go by there at least once a year.

Indeed. Was nice and well kept. My wife and I have already decided we want to go back so we can spend more time there. It’s a 9 hour drive for us though so maybe later in the year.

9 hours... ouch! But, I’ve driven a lot further to look at trains...

If you happen to be there on a Sunday, I would recommend going out to see the WF&P Railroad in Wildwood. 12" gauge live steam, 2 mile round trip. Club has been in existence since 1939, and in that location since the 60's. It’s just a few miles from the MOT.

The thing about is the visit to the museum was a bonus. We were actually up there to adopt a dog. While we were there I decided to see what was in the area and came across this museum in a google search. We stopped at the local exotic car dealer as well and got to see an Aston Martin Vulcan sitting in their showroom. Wish I could have got pictures of it. Apparently it was the one the Stig drove during series 23 of Top Gear.
